Eco-Period is a Rural Girls Empowerment social enterprise business module manufacturing low-cost eco-friendly reusable sanitary pad which is feasible, sustainable and more viable than the regular pads in the markets aimed at providing a holistic Menstrual Health Management (MHM) solution consisting of menstrual products, education and skills to most vulnerable areas of Ghana. As innovators, we are committed to creating an alternative eco-friendly and potentially healthier menstrual product that is sustainable, affordable and equitable for all people to menstruate with dignity, comfort and in a hygienic manner.

We plan to scale the project through a variety of government channels including women’s prisons, schools, orphanages and hospitals and also sell to NGOs, Government ministries which will be gifted free to the end-user.

At the moment, NGOs import reusable pads which are made in other African countries. Eco-Periods will be Ghana’s first affordable and reusable cloth pad manufacturing company.
